The first Steering group meeting for ORJIP Ocean Energy took place on 16th June 2015 in Edinburgh. The kick-off meeting was attended by representatives of the Project Sponsors - TCE, Marine Scotland, and Welsh Government together with Steering Group members NRW, SNH, DOE NI, and industry representation from Open Hydro, DP Energy and Tidal Lagoon Power.

The main objectives of this first meeting were to provide an overview of the approach taken to date in the development of the Forward Look; particularly the identification of high priority projects, and to get input from the Steering Group on the outline project plans.
