The second Steering Group meeting for ORJIP Ocean Energy was held in London on 13th January 2016. The meeting focussed on pushing forward high priority research projects and upcoming opportunities for wider learning were discussed with devices going into the water at Ramsey Sound and hopefully soon at EMEC and MeyGen. Funding was also a focus, both for the high priority projects and the wider ORJIP Ocean Energy programme.   

Another Call for Evidence was issued at the end of 2015 and the responses were used to update the Forward Look with all of the current environmental research being undertaken that is relevant to the marine energy sector. The updated Forward Look will be issued to the Network before the end of January 2016.
